Monkeygang is a modern UK version of an idea based on the traditional Sock Monkeys from the USA . Sock Monkeys appeared in the late 1900's and were originally made from Rockford red heeled work socks produced by the Nelson Knitting Mills in Rockford, Illinois. The workers made them as toys for their children. The charm of these delightful monkeys has sustained their popularity over the years and they are still very desirable today

Today the Monkeygang are made from new colourful, cotton socks, stuffed with safety standard polyester and fully washable. Washing instructions are included with each purchase. All the Sock Monkeys have been carefully made to exceed all safety requirements under Toy Safety Regulations 2011 and conform toBS EN 71-1:2011 / BS EN 71-2:2011 and BS EN 71-3:1995 and now carry the CE label
